The Coral Series is a comprehensive compilation of academic articles written on the Maldivian coral reefs. The collection’s first academic paper starts with the work of Charles Darwin and includes published academic work right up until the present day. It offers insight into the formation of the coral reefs and islands that make up the Maldives as well as the more alarming, present-day destruction of coral reefs caused by global warming. In order to be able to save coral reefs, it is important to understand the science that came before us.
